| Right now im going through my rebuild It all started here: [ http://twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=1044302 ] Now onto my questions When I pulled my block apart today, the #5 and #6 pistions wrist pins were still as hell, meaning the piston was not rotating freely at all. My guess would be lack of oil because of the spun bearing I found on #5 cylinder (one bearing spun over the other) but anyone else have any better ideas? Next, I am finding a few cranks for under 100 dollars, supposedly in good condition. It is going to cost probably 125-150 dollars for a re-grind and polish on my stock setup-what would you do? My brother is an owner of a performance shop very close to me and he keeps tryin to pressure me into buying wiseco pistons and some eagle rods-but I cant say I really have intentions of making the HP that these parts are usually associate with, however I do tend to run the car pretty hard on the streets. If i upgrade turbos it will be RIGHT NOW while the motor is out. I have been thinkign of doing 14B TD05 Mitsu turbos and having him fab up the brackets and downpipes (definately not a problem, and I dont pay for labor) so once again-what would you do?
